The Complete Starbuzz Sheesha Flavour Guide...!!

Starbuzz shisha tobacco is by far one of the most popular shisha brands in our arsenal. Unfortunately, our customers don’t always experience the full line of awesome flavors because they are leery of the ambiguous flavor names. You might be surprised to learn that Starbuzz UFO doesn’t taste like little green space aliens, and Flower Power does not smell like Woodstock.
We pulled some of the most head scratching names and gave you a little guidance to help you make your next Starbuzz shisha purchase!

Apple Americano – If you like dark, rich, espresso flavors wrapped in the sweetness of a candy apple, then this flavor is for you. It sounds like a strange flavor pairing, but these deep flavors play very well off of each other.
Blue Mist – This is the best selling Starbuzz flavor on Hookah-Shisha.com, and the most universally loved. With a sweet, light, blueberry/cotton candy flavor, it’s a great shisha to start with, and is perfect for daily sessions.
Blue Surfer – This is the less ambitious version of the Silver Surfer. Blue Surfer may not be a super hero, but it does bring a mix of sweet tropical fruits and cooling mint.
Candy – Squish together the refreshing flavors of pineapple and banana into a hard candy, and boom! You’ve got Candy shisha.
Caramel Macchiato – Similar to the drink, this shisha flavor is creamy, and rich, with a hint of caramel sweetness.
Christmas Mix – Seriously. This tastes like Christmas. It’s a wintery mix of cinnamon, nutmeg, spice, and everything nice.
Coco Jumbo – Put ‘da lime in ‘da coconut and smoke it all up! (In case you didn’t catch that…it tastes like lime and coconut.)
Code 69 – Cool fruit punch flavor mixed with thick clouds of tart citrus.
Flower Power – This flavor is full and intense. It mixes together an aromatic floral punch with fruity sweetness. It’s like being punched in the face by a flower dressed up as an orange. Crazy, right? Crazy good.
Fruit Sensation – “Fruity” flavor can be pretty vague, but this shisha picks one fruit, and sticks with it! You’re going to get a mouthful of pear with this Fruit Sensation.
Hard Rush – Winter fresh mint gives an extra kick to a generous combination of fine fruity flavors.
Honey Berry – What would normally be a standard sourberry, gets an extra swirl of complexity by adding a hint of honey liqueur.
Lebanese Bombshell – I’m interjecting personal opinion into this one. I’m going to be honest: it’s weird. But I love it. If you’ve ever wanted to smoke a forest, this may be the closest that you can get. Taking a long drag of Lebanese Bombshell is akin to breathing in cedar wood shavings. Like I said: it sounds weird, but is totally great.
Marlett – This flavor is a little confusing. The Starbuzz website even says that this particular flavor is always changing depending on ‘trends’. However, the majority of reviews describe it as being similar to a rich Merlot. This includes grape, berry, and spicy flavors.
Passion Kiss – This could mean a lot of different things. But today, it means tropical fruit.
Pink – Did you know that there are over 200 different species of raspberries? Well you absolutely do not need to know that in order to enjoy the light raspberry flavor in Pink!
Pirate’s Cave – There’s nothing hidden about this arrrrrriginal flavor! It’s a no non-sense, swashbucklin’, lemon-lime explosion!
Pomberry – This flavor might seem mysterious, but it’s actually exactly how it sounds. Pomegranate. Berries. Booyah.
Sex on the Beach – Similar to the drink that is it’s namesake, this shisha flavor combines one part lemon and  one part orange, shake, and serve under a hot coal twist!
UFO- Imagine taking ever kind of citrus fruit available and throwing it in a blender with some marshmallows and whipped cream: that is the only way to describe the indescribable UFO!

Starbuzz ACID

Gold - When I first say that this shisha combines chocolate with citrus, you might be a little put off. But wait! The fresh sweetness of the fruit mixes really well with the rich sweetness of cocoa. This is definitely my personal favorite of the Acid line.
Red – It’s cinnamon. It’s gum. It’s cinnamon gum! If you’ve ever chewed Big Red gum, this is the closest you’ll ever get to smoking it.
Purple – In the same way that a nice floral beer will make you feel like a blushing rose pedal on a summer night, the Purple Acid combines flowery aromas with tropical fruit like a warm Hawaiian eve.
Green – There’s only so much you can say about mint. We’ll give it a strong 10/10 spearmint rating.
Blue – It’s like having a fruit salad at grandma’s house! With melon, berries, and wintergreen mixed in, this flavor is a little more complex than its other Acid buddies.

Starbuzz BOLD

Apple Doppio - Deep, rich apple flavor with an intense, dark licorice sensibility.
Code Blue – This flavor is similar to Blue Mist but with a “bold” essence. Where does the “bold” come from? Maybe in the chocolate-y aftertaste. It’s been described as tasting amazingly similar to a Tootsie Roll!
Cosmo Power – An ‘out of this world’ combo of sweet fruit and floral flavors.
Pink Lady – Just like the well known drink that it’s named after, Pink Lady has underlying inklings of grenadine with a lime twist!
Purple Savior – There was nothing better than running in your kitchen as a kid and chugging grape soda from the 2-L bottle in the fridge. You may have out grown that particular habit, but you can relive it as an adult with this grape soda tasting shisha that comes complete with a “fizzy” quality.
Queen of Sex – It’s sweet and tangy, just like you’d expect from royalty. With ripe citrus flavors washing over your senses, you’ll become a jester in this queen’s court. (I don’t even know what that means, but you get the picture.)
Tropicool – A layered medley of tropical fruits like pineapple and citrus are present in this flavor, with just a hint of mint.

Sheesha Golden Tips

1. A coal should NOT touch tobacco while smoking. This is a very important thing to notice, since the “peak of the taste” comes about 5-10 minutes after the beginning of the session, and if a coal touches tobacco, the taste will no longer be pure tobacco taste, but will also have a burn flavor, since the top of the tobacco will be burning.
2. The deeper the bowl – the better. This just supports the point above, since if a bowl is deep, enough tobacco can be packed into it allowing an air buffer between a coal and tobacco.
3. Have tobacco sit for about 20-30 minutes before packing into a bowl. This is sometimes called acclimatization, where tobacco is unpacked, sprinkled on a piece of paper/foil, and let to be sit there (opened to the environment’s air) for some time before packing it into the bowl. This gives tobacco a stronger flavor, since its substance balances out with a room/outside temperature.
4. Sprinkle tobacco into a bowl instead of put it in as one piece. When tobacco is sprinkled into the bowl, it has a better chance to get a hit from a coal, as well as it lets hot air to pass better, which makes the smoke richer and the taste/flavor stronger.
5. Go with a lot of small holes instead of a few big ones. Instead of making several big wholes in the foil, take a needle or a simple staple and make a lot of small holes in the whole foil’s surface. These will allow more air to pass (if the whole surface is covered), as well as an even distribution of the hit.
6. Move that coal around. By moving a coal around a foil/bowl’s surface every so often (5-10 min) more tobacco will be engaged in a session, making the session longer and the taste/flavor stronger. When the coal is there on the same place for the duration of the whole session, tobacco, right under the coal “goes” pretty fast, and other tobacco is “not utilized”, which makes it fast and tasteless.
7. Clean the hookah periodically – all the parts. Cleaning is not always pleasant and the best time spent, but it pays off really well, especially if strong flavors (like mint or any citrus, etc.) were used, or the burn effect occurred. Make sure to clean not only the bowl and the glass part, but get a special long and narrow brush to clean the pipe itself. The hose(s) needs to be washed as well. Things to note: if a “filter ball” is made out of metal, make sure the water does not get into it.
8. Different hose for different effect. Get a “heavy” leather hose for a huge amount of smoke, and get a “light” hose winded up with metal stripe (to cool off the smoke) for the richer taste/flavor.
9. “The more coal the more smoke” – the more chance of burning and shortening the session. A lot of places advise more coal for more smoke – this is true, but there are “consequences”.. More coal is more hit – higher chance to burn the tobacco. More coal is shorter session, since tobacco is “gone” faster.
Alternative solution for more smoke is to use different hoses, as described in the point above, as well as to make sure the hookah is well sealed.
10. Green tea is the way to go! Green tea along with the hookah makes flavor/taste richer, and the overall experience healthier and simply magnificent!

How to make smoke rings

  1. Take a long drag. Sucking in extra smoke will give you more to work with, but try not to inhale.

2Make your mouth into an "O" shape. It really helps to curl your lips around your teeth.

   3. Make a little cough in your throat. This little cough is extremely hard for some people while it is very easy for others.

Sheesha tips & tricks

Please enjoy these tips and tricks that sheesha smokers from around the world have submitted to us for publication. These suggestions will assist a beginner sheesha user with becoming more knowledgeable about the sheesha and allow them to experiment with enhancing the overall smoking experience.

1) Fill your vase with Water and then fill the remaining space with Milk for a thicker smoke. Make sure to fill the vase so that the down tube is submerged no more than one inch in the liquid.

2) Shred your sheesha Tobacco as much as possible to allow for more air flow and an overall better smoking experience.

3) Make sure that the Quick lighting coals have completely started up before placing the Coals on the top of the bowl.

4) Add Rose Syrup. Adding chilled Rose Syrup mixed with water in the sheesha gives it a cooler and more pleasant smelling smoke.

5) For folks having trouble with blowing smoke rings, just pretend that you are coughing with your mouth open. The motion of coughing gives out a perfect smoke ring! You can also use the round cardboard cylinder in toilet paper rolls to blow smoke for smoke rings.

6) After putting in the sisha and covering it with aluminum foil, pierce holes in the inner part of the foil instead of all over the foil. Also don't pierce too many holes. One charcoal is enough to give a long smoke and its better tasting too.

7) To achieve better flavor, after you have packed your bowl, cover it with aluminum foil (without holes), flip it backwards and let it sit for a few minutes. This will make sure the tobacco at the top layer is wetter before you burn. You can now take off the aluminum foil; start by flicking it to drop any shisha pieces which might cling to it and slide the foil across the bowl in a clockwise motion spreading the juice stuck to the foil evenly around the shisha. You may now use a new foil (Or wipe the previous one clean of ANY shisha juice), poke holes on the aluminum, and start smoking. This provides the juice of the shisha to slowly seep through the bottom thanks to gravity as the shisha is burning which constantly slows the tobacco burn providing you with the maximum fruit flavor.

8) Try placing one glow stick in the vase of the Hookah if you are interested in experiencing a cool lighting effect. Please make sure that the glow stick is not damaged in any way before placing it in the vase of the Hookah.

9) To allow the Flavored Tobacco to taste fresher and last longer, place the Flavored Tobacco in an air tight container. Do not place the container in the refrigerator, as it will ruin the Flavored Tobacco. Instead, store the container in a cupboard at room temperature.

10) To enhance your smoking experience, try mixing different flavors of tobacco in the Bowl. Try your own mix or use one of the mixes we have created: Strawberry/Banana, Peach/Melon, Apple/Strawberry, Mint/Any Flavor. If you have a good recipe, share it with the world by contacting our customer service center, and letting them know.

11) For a fruitier smoke, mix berries with the water in the Glass Base.

12) If you are looking for a cooler, more enjoyable smoking experience, place some ice cubes in the Glass Base.

13) To enhance your smoking experience, try mixing Lemon Juice, Cranberry Juice, or Wine with the water in the Glass Base.

14) Using Tin Foil over the Metal Bowl Screen will allow for the Flavored Tobacco to evaporate more efficiently.

15) Before and after every smoke, blow into the Hose to clear the Hookah chamber of stale smoke.

16) If you are looking for an extra cool smoke, place your Glass Base into the freezer for a couple of minutes, until a small layer of ice forms on top of the water. Do not leave your Glass Base in the freezer for too long, as the Glass may crack.

17) Clean your Hookah using the Cleaning Brushes after every smoke. This will allow for your Hookah to last much longer.

18) Use lukewarm water to ease the removal of smoke residue that builds up on the inside of the Hookah Hose and Shaft.

19) Placing the Hookah on the ground will prevent the Hookah from being tipped over.

20) If you have a dark colored Glass Base and your Hookah sits on top of a low glass table, try using a small lamp or a couple of candles to create a relaxing view of the bubbles and smoke inside the Base.

21) Use a small carrying case, such as a kids lunch box to store all necessary items to smoke with the Hookah. This makes your Hookah smoking experience much more convenient.

22) If the Quicklighting Charcoal is almost completely used up, place a new Quicklighting Charcoal on top of the old one to keep your smoking session going.

23) A rotating platform can be placed underneath the Hookah to make it easier to maneuver when smoking with large groups. This will prevent Hookah users from being severely burnt.

24) If you have a special spot that you normally smoke in, it is possible to make a Hookah holder using a old, low end table. Cut a hole in the table, and elevate the Hookah so that the Glass Base fits perfectly inside the table. Make sure that the Shaft is right above the hole when making the hole. This will prevent the Hookah from being tipped over.

25) When smoking Al-Waha's Orange Flavored Tobacco, pour a small amount of Orange Juice into the Glass Base, diluting it with water. This will allow for a more Orange flavored smoke.

26) Never try to light a Charcoal on top of the Hookah with a candle. The liquid wax will drip into the bowl and garnish the entire bowl with a wax taste and it becomes really hard to wash the wax off.

27) If you think that the Hookah Charcoal is burning too hot, it is recommended that you use two pieces of Hookah Foil. However, the pieces of foil have to be really well sealed at the edges.

28) If you have Egyptian Charcoal and you don't have a powerful heat source to light it, we recommend that you use a Quick Lighting Charcoal. Just burn one of the coals and place it directly on top of the natural charcoal finger. Make sure to start smoking the Hookah right away to assist in getting the natural charcoal going.

29) Sometimes although you don't pack the Flavored Tobacco above the bowl the tobacco still burns sticking to the bottom of the tin foil. To prevent this, notice the carbon line around the bowl (around 1/6th of an inch thick black lining on regularly used bowls) if you press down the tobacco below the carbon line that's just enough space for the heat to reach its ideal 450F degree without giving you harsh smoke. Also icing the bottom vase makes thicker smoke, since most of the excited electrons inside the metal elements of the smoke (iron, copper and zinc) slow down and get heavier as temperature decreases making it harder for light to pass through eventually displaying a much thicker shisha cloud :)

30) When lighting Hookah Charcoal, hold the coal with tongs not over the bowl but over the top tray until it is entirely ignited. That way you don’t get the unlit black bottomed coal.

31) Take Fantasia's Dragons Breath Tobacco flavor and mix 1/2 bootlegger (alcohol) green apple and 1/2 water in the base. This will create a taste like jolly ranchers

Sheesha setup guide...

Step 1. Place hookah stem (with vase gasket) into the glass vase. The fitting should be airtight.

Step 2. Place the metal tray over the top of the hookah stem. Depending on your hookah model, the tray may either fit loosely or snap into place. Some smaller hookahs come with affixed trays

Step 3. Insert hose end with hose gasket into hose port on hookah stem.

Step 4. If your hookah model comes with an air release valve, unscrew it to make sure there is a ball bearing inside. Screw the valve back on. The air release valve is usually positioned opposite the hose port on the hookah stem.

Step 5. Check the air flow on your hookah by putting your hand over the top of the hookah stem and sucking in with the hose. There should be little to no air intake. If your hookah model has a check valve, with your hand still on top of the hookah stem, blow through the hose. You should hear air expelled out through the check valve.

Step 6. Remove the hookah stem from the vase and fill the vase with water. Put the hookah stem back on vase. The stem should be submerged about an inch into the water.

Step 7. Break up the shisha tobacco as you gently lay it into the clay bowl. You will want to sprinkle it in so that it is loose enough for air to pass through. The shisha tobacco should be filled to the rim of the bowl, but no higher.

Step 8. If you are using a metal screen, place it on top of the bowl. If you are using foil, wrap the foil over the head so that it fits snugly. Make sure to poke holes into the foil so that air can pass through.

Step 9. Place the clay bowl on top of the hookah stem with the bowl gasket in between the hookah stem and the bowl. The clay bowl should fit snugly.

Step 10. Light your coals. If you have instant lighting coals, you can light them with a lighter or match. Other coals will need a stove or a torch. Wait for the coals to become red hot all over before placing them on top of your clay bowl. Break the coals up into smaller pieces and evenly distribute them on your head. Be careful not to add too many coals as your smoke will become harsh.

Step 11. Inhale on your hose. It may take a minute or two before the hookah is smoking properly. Enjoy!

History of sheesha..

The hookah is a water pipe which allows smoking a preparation based on nature or tobacco flavored with fruit. The smoke is drawn through a hose and passes through a vessel filled with water. The water cools the smoke and makes it very soft. Narghile is primarily a source of relaxation and fun that encourages human contact. Some narghiles are real works of art and may have a purely decorative function.

The hookah is composed of several parts: the chimney, above the bowl, the body (or shell), the submerged pipe and the pipe. Narghile may also have a shelf located between the chimney and the upper bowl.
Bowl (aka home) contains a mixture of tobacco, molasses and fruit essences sometimes called tabamel and coal, which is placed on top. The bowl is raised to the top of the chimney. The body of the hookah is filled with water to half its height, and rose water or other additives to give the taste can be added. Submerged pipe is then placed in the reservoir, and connected to the chimney and the pipe. Tabamel the smoke passes through water and is filtered into it before reaching the smoker's mouth, sucking in the hose provided. The water is changed regularly to remove residue.
The tabamel used in hookah is specially designed for this purpose: it has the appearance of a wet paste composed of approximately 30% of tobacco, which is fermented with approximately 70% of maassal, honey and the pulp different fruits, which are intended to give the smoke flavor and aroma fruité2. There are tabamels all tastes: from apple to cherry, mint multifruits to, and even cappuccino or cola3. The tabamel is heated in the furnace at a temperature of about 450 ° C 4.2.

The shells are of various shapes (in the form of coconut or other) and can be metal, crystal, glass, copper or poterie1 .. Some are enhanced with gold or silver parts. The metal parts of the hookah are usually finely chiseled. Some pipes are also decorated. Finally, the plateau of the hookah is also richly decorated (with beads, as in Syria) and chased. Forms of narghiles are very diverse and decorations (which range from the "tourists" to the more refined) decorative reflect the influences of the region where they are made. The mechanism allows Narghile consider simultaneous use of the same device by several smokers, as is sometimes seen outside the company where its use is traditional and where the instrument can be at the heart of a common social practice.
